'Practical Jerusalum Tour' to the Yehuda mall

Snappling by the Qumran Caves

Montefiore's Windmill tour - Historical Geography of Jerusalem course
From the Chanuka trip to the Israel Museum to climbing in the Judean desert, learning at Rothberg International School is always an exceptional experience that combines academic exploration with the discovery of this incredible country. The ‘Israel Challenge’ was designed for RIS students who are extreme sports fanatics – and saw us snappeling by the Quran caves where the Dead Sea scrolls were found!. Of course, for those starting new years or Semesters, the OSA’s practical Jerusalem tour helps to get new students acquainted with cultural and social life in a matter of days. Here are some highlights of the year so far.

I cannot hide my envy – to be on ‘tiyul’ in the Negev and exploring in and around Jerusalem…these are the memories I cherish most about my time in Israel. Running up Masada at dawn (without a stop); a walk at night through a couple of treacherous wadi’s (and getting lost); archeological digs in Jerusalem and elsewhere – so much to do and see in such a small country!
